Puri is to direct a film titled ’BUDDHA’ in which Amitabh in the lead role. Ram Gopal Varma is going to produce the film. Puri will be the happy man directing the legendry Amitabh. The official announcement is yet to be released.

YVS Chowdary loves Ileana

YVS Chowdary showered praises on Ileana in Saleem audio function. He even went on to say that he loves Ileana. He compared Ileana with Sridevi and Simran and opined that she is the best actress after them.

YVS statement has given strength to rumors that there is an affair between him and the leading actress. Y V S Chowdary feels that Ileana is his lucky mascot. It was Ileana's charm and beauty that bought him the much needed success with Devadas. So, after the disaster of Okkamagadu, he decided to cast Ileana to gain box office success. It was Chowdary who introduced Ileana to Tollywood.

Shyam as YSR in Puri’s film

Shyam who showed an marvellous performance in the film ’Kick’ starrer Raviteja and Ileana, is getting good roles in Telugu films. Latest news is that Puri Jagannath is directing a film on YS Rajashekar Reddy with title ’Rajashekar Reddy’. Kick Shyam is playing the role of YSR in young days.

Earlier YSR was a body builder in college days, shyam’s physic is suited for that one. Sources said that he has already signed for this.

Superhit Telugu film 'Ready', starring Ram and Genelia D'Souza in the lead and directed by Cheenu Vaitla, is to be made in Tamil starring Dhanush in the lead. Dhanush, who is already starring in the Tamil remake of the Telugu hit film 'Aarya' which is being made as 'Kutty', is all set to do his second consecutive remake film.

Incidentally, the Tamil version of 'Ready' will be directed by Mitran Jawahar, who debuted as director in 2007 with the Dhanush-Nayantara starrer 'Yaaradi Nee Mohini', which was also a remake of theTelugu film 'Aadavari Maatalukku Arthalae Vaeru'. Mitran would again be directing Dhanush in 'Ready', which would be produced jointly by the duo of Mohan Apparao and Ramesh Thandara on behalf of Balaji Studios Pvt. Ltd.

'Ready' is also being remade in Kannada as well, with Punith Rajkumar (who else?) and Priyamani in the lead. Talks are on with frontline actresses to pair up opposite Dhanush in the Tamil version, sources point out. It appears that Dhanush might have another winner in his hands!

Well, the war between the Nandamuri fans and Chiru fans has been an age old story but in between, there was a buzz that the whole thing has reduced a bit. But the recent incident has proved that the heat is still on and star admiration can go to any extent.

One of the famous Coffee shops in Hyderabad was the venue for this heated argument that took place between fans of Nandamuri clan and Chiru. Ultimately, the staff had to intervene and make it clear that such things would not be entertained and requested them to leave.

Apparently, the Chiru fans said that the Nandamuris can lift only ‘Gada’ but they are not good at horse riding. Nandamuri fans say that Chiru and Ramcharan are good at horse riding but they can never get into the legacy of doing mythological characters by delivering lengthy dialogues. Chiru fans said that Ram Charan is the best bet for mythological roles. Nandamuri fans said that none can beat Jr NTR. The argument went on in the way that a Jr NTR fan said that ‘Magadheera’ would have become more successful if his favorite star played lead. Nandamuri fans clearly attributed the success of Magadheera to Rajamouli while Chiru fans attributed it to Aravind. Ultimately it’s the caste-factor that took place in this argument and voices rose eventually when Coffee Shop management intervened to cool down the situation.

Nandamuri clan's passionate acting talent, NTR Jr has a wish. It is to act with yesteryear beauty queen Sridevi. In a television interview, he has made this confession much to the surprise of everyone. Though he made this desire of his known to everyone even many years ago (when 'Allari Ramudu' released), he has made it vociferously this time. Once he had said that if Sridevi gave a nod to do a film with him, he would halt every other project in hand to act with the actress.

In the recent interview, he has candidly put that Sridevi is a nonpareil and that her image is transfixed in his mind. The bachelor actor, known more for his fiery outbursts in political campaigns than for talking about girls, has clearly shown his romantic side. That he has a long-time crush for Mrs. Sridevi Bony Kapoor is clear.

If Sridevi ever wants to come onto the big screen and do a Telugu movie, one hopes she considers an NTR film. Is she listening?

Puli postponed again?

Is Pawan Kalyan's film Puli postponed yet another time? The SJ Surya directed film, which has been seeing procrastinations for umpteen times, is learnt to have been postponed one more time. Only a few days ago, it was said that the film will be releasing on December 24. Then it was said that it is a Pongal release.

Now the news is that it will release only in February. Though reasons for the undue delay are not known as yet, it is rumoured that its postponement is sure. It was in February 2008 that Jalsa released. So if Puli releases in February 2010, it will have been exactly 2 years.

Pawan Kalyan's fans are eagerly awaiting an official confirmation from the makers as they are getting to rely only on unconfirmed sources about the release date.

The film's music is by AR Rehman and there is no news about its release either. Given that it is a big venture, there will at least be one month's gap after the music release.

Ram Charans 4th film with Dharani

As soon as Ram Charan Tej completes shooting for his current film with Bommarillu Bhaskar, he will start canning for a new one. A film to be directed by Dharani, it will be produced by Super Good Films. If for the RB Chowdhary banner, it will definitely mark a famous comeback, for Dharani, whose last film with Pawan Kalyan, 'Bangaram' was a flop, it will help him herald in a big way in Tollywood. The combination of Charan and Dharani is creating ripples in the industry. As the director who worked with superstars like Vijay in Tamil, Dharani is well-experienced when it comes to showing a hero in a way likeable for the masses. Meanwhile, news is that the film will go on floors in the month of March next year. Probably it will take some time for the makers to come up with details of other cast and crew.

Padmapriya to pair up with Allari Naresh

Padmapriya, a known name in Tamil and Malayalam film, fizzled out in Telugu after her first flop debut. Yet she has got another opportunity in Tollywood - with, not one, but two films in her kitty. 'Samudram' and 'Andari Banduvaya'. What more? She is lucky that she is acting in a K Vishwanath film for her debut! What more can an actress ask for. She is getting into the shoes of a role for which Shruthi Haasan was considered in the past.

The film, titled Samudram, has Allari Naresh as the male lead. Wondering who this girl is? Padmapriya Janakiraman as last seen in that super flop Sreenu Vasanthi Lakshmi, with which RP Patnaik infamously turned hero.

After the dud, the talented girl was not to be seen again, except in Malayalam and Tamil. She was in news in Andhra after a long time when she bagged Chandra Siddhartha's 'Andari Banduvaya'. Also doing a Hindi film called Striker, which is about an international carom player.

If Padmapriya strikes gold in Telugu with 'Samudram', she will be famous in Tamil, Malayalam and Telugu - a distinction very few have achieved.
